2008 Y.O. Ranch Adventure Camp

Last year I wrote an essay and won a trip to the Y.O. Ranch thanks to the Safari Club International Oklahoma Station. I had a lot of fun learning new things, making new friends, and hunting. I harvested a beautiful black buck doe.The first few days we spent doing lots of fun things like shooting guns and bows, swimming, playing games, climbing on the ropes course, and hunting wild boars with dogs. On Wednesday we finally got to go hunting. I wanted to harvest a black buck. I thought it would be easy to hunt them but it was hard. They would run as soon as you got your gun up. Through the rest of the week my guide and I chased the black buck. It was the last night and I still had not tagged out. My guide and I went out hoping I would get a shot at a black buck. As soon as we got out in the field a black buck gave me a perfect shot. I shot and she ran a little ways and dropped. I really had fun at the Y.O. Ranch.I want to thank the Safari Club for sending me to this very fun camp and I really enjoyed my time there.
